Mailings of the Alumni Association Magazine, Waseda Gakuho +




Waseda Gakuho is a magazine published by the Waseda University Alumni Association (WUAA) six times a year, on the 15th of odd-numbered months. Full of information on the wide-ranging activities of alumni, the university, and the WUAA, the magazine provides a picture of what Waseda is like now.
As services for alumni dues-paying members, alumni residing in Japan can receive the magazine by post, while alumni residing outside Japan can receive an ID and password to access the e-book version by email. If you are currently paying your alumni dues, however, not receiving the magazine or emails, please update your mailing address or register your email address.

Using the Alumni Salon +




Located on the top floor of the Okuma Memorial Tower, the Alumni Salon boasts a lovely view with a sense of spaciousness.

[Who can use the Alumni Salon?]

■ Individual use
  • 1Alumni Association Card holders (dues-paying members can have cards made)
  • 2Waseda Card holders
  • 3The Waseda Fund members card holders

The above users can bring one guest each, and Waseda Gold Card holders can bring up to two guests, and Waseda Platinum Card holders up to three guests.

■ Group use

The following conditions must be met.

  • 1Users must be registered Tomonkai members of the WUAA.
  • 2Tomonkai Officers (the three highest ranks) and all applicants must be paying alumni dues.
  • 3The public activities of any organizations involved must be approved by the Tomonkai Chairperson.

* Facilities may be unavailable depending on the academic calendar and university operations, including during break periods at the end/start of the year as well as summer and winter break.

* The whole building is non-smoking.
* Please refrain from behaviors that disturb other users (loud noises, phone conversations, sleeping, etc.).
* Groups must have at least one current student or alumnus in order to use the facility.

Using WELBOX, a Members-Only Welfare Service (for Residents of Japan) +




WELBOX is a welfare service for residents of Japan provided by the Waseda University Alumni Association.
Dues-paying alumni can use MyWaseda online to get special member discounts on hotels or tours for travel, movie tickets, restaurants, leisure facilities, and more. Users must be a first or second-degree relative of a member.
There are even more benefits for Waseda Card holders. We encourage you to use your WELBOX in your daily life.

Using Waseda University Library Facilities +




The Central Library, Toyama Library, Science and Engineering Library, and Tokorozawa Library are available for use. To use other libraries and reading rooms, you may need permission from each facility.

Viewing materials within the facility, copying materials, using audio-visual materials within the facility

[How to Use]

Waseda Card holders can use their Waseda Card as identification to enter the library. If you don’t have an Alumni Association Card, you can have one issued.
